That subject line is the understatement of the year! It is hard to believe, but we broke Austin heat records that have been in the books for decades. We even eclipsed the 2011 heat wave. Here's the good news. Regardless of the temperature outside, the work of reaching people wasn't slowed. Let me tell you about June...

The month started with Garrett Waggoner joining us from Lubbock. After being here over spring break, he felt God call him to connect here for the summer. He is helping us in two ways: as our worship leader and by helping us reach out to college students and young adults. He hit the ground running, and we are so glad he is here! Throughout June, we also were blessed to have three mission teams come to Pflugerville to work step-by-step with us to take the Gospel to our city. First, we hosted an adult team from Lakeland Baptist Church of Lewisville who went door-to-door with us, followed by a student team the very next week from Lakeland as well. The students helped host a sports camp and continue some door-to-door work. At the end of the month, a team of adults from Champion Forest Baptist Church of Houston were here for more neighborhood canvassing and hosted a backyard bash for college students. With the teams, we contacted 985 homes, had 185 conversations with families, and shared the Gospel 47 times. Pray with us as we continue the follow-up work and watch how God continues to change hearts in Pflugerville.
