All Things New

November 25, 2019

"What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun." Ecclesiastes 1:9

"And he who was seated on the throne said, 'Behold, I am making all things new.' Also he said, 'Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.'” Revelation 21:5

As I shared with you to end 2023, we have adopted "NEW" as our word for 2024. There may not be anything truly new, but we can experience all that God has for us in a "new, exciting and fresh" way, and that may include encountering something for the first time. The Lord has set this year in front of us, and we are full of anticipation for what's next in a fresh and exciting way.

We began 2024 with baptism, and I can't think of anything that defines a fresh start like that! Ashley gave her life to Christ in December, and she could not wait to let the world know that He is "making all things new" for her. These are the life-changing events that you have all joined us praying for. God continues to open new doors for us every day, so keep praying with us.

As I share with you so very often, pray is our most valuable gift, asset and weapon in the work we are doing here. As a church, we covenanted with each other to continue to make pray the core of who we are individually and as a church. On Sunday mornings, we meet corporately at 9:30 for "Prayer First" to begin our morning of worship. We don't simply gather with our needs list, but we gather and join our hearts in asking God to move in powerful and fresh ways in our city and in our lives. We do ask Him for some specific things in relation to the needs around us, but more than that, we are praying for God to be reveled to the world around us by using us in our circles of influence. The Lord is so faithful, and we have already seem Him begin to stir in many ways. I hope and pray to be able to report many things to you in the coming months.

Please join us in prayer in the following ways:

>Pray for the Lord to give us boldness as we declare His love and truth

>Pray now for the mission teams planning to join us here this summer

>Pray with us for God's continued provision, He has been so faithful, and praise His name with us for all that He has done

>Pray for all that is ahead for our state and our nation>Pray for teachers and students as the 2023-24 school year pushes towards the end

>Pray for CrossWalk-Pflugerville daily!

We continue to be so very thankful for our Gospel partners! If you or your group would like to partner with us as well, please begin to do so by praying with us. As you all know, prayer is our most valued partnership! If you would like to partner with us "in the trenches" here, please email us or call us so we can begin the conversation. If God is leading you to generously give a one-time gift or establish an ongoing gift to the work of CrossWalk-Pflugerville, you can text GIVE to (512)877-6482 or click this link: https://www.crosswalkpf.church/give (or the Give tab at the top of the page).
