We began the month with a beautiful Sunday afternoon by celebrating the baptism of our friend Damon. It truly was a gorgeous sunny October 1, and the day was brightened with a public statement of life-changing faith in Jesus Christ. Surrender is such an amazing story to witness.

The month was full of activity in the community as well. Pflugerville held its annual Deutschen Pfest with thousands of people out and about, See You at the Pole prayer meetings took place on numerous school campuses, and FCA Fields of Faith always brings the month to a close. We look forward to each of these and love being a part of them.

For us personally, the month ended with Karen's mom, Mary Kay Walker, going Home to be with the Lord. We are so very thankful for all of the kind messages and calls received. While it does weigh heavy on our hearts, we are also resting in the peace that comes only from our hope in Christ. There is truly so much comfort in Him. Please continue to pray for the family as everyone navigates the time ahead.

In the coming month, our prayer for each of you is for a very Happy Thanksgiving season with family and friends. We pray your time is refreshing and renewing.
